A fun race night can be great craic for your monthly social night or corporate event. It provides something different and a bit of fun and interest besides just sitting in the pub.

A Fun Race Night operate very much the same a one with the intention of fundraising except for a few key differences.

The Races
The races we used for Fun Nights are a much higher quality interactive presentations. The provide full commentary by name, they have a full race introduction and commentary on the past form of each horse or dog.

Fun Money OR Real Money
You can still run a real money Tote at a fun race night. The only difference is all the money from each race goes back as payouts instead of some being removed for fundraising. The other option is to provide each punter with a certain amount of fun money to bet with, and provide prizes for the most successful punter on the night.

Select and arrange the venue
Any local pub/bar or function room will be fine. Ideally with a large screen and projector or plenty of plasma TVs available.

Publicise and get people to attend
The more people you get to attend the more money you will make on the night. You could decide the sell tickets to the night that is up to you.

TOTE Betting Tickets Seller
You will still need a couple of responsible members to run the tote for the nights and manage the bets on each race. The tote can be setup at a specific table in the room and punters are told to come up to this table between the races to place their bets. This is much less hassle then the sellers moving around the room trying to sell tickets.
