WHAT DO WE PROVIDE?

In short, everything you need to run your race night and the expertise and assistance you'll need to make your night a success.

The Races on DVD
We have a large collection of races available, you can choose from;

- Greyhound Racing (6 dog races). High quality UK races ranging in distance both on the flat and over hurdles.
We can provide races where the dogs are all named in advance and have full previous form available on screen on the night and have a full race commentary by name.
Alternatively if you wish to have your owners name their dogs we have races where the commentary is by dog number only.

- Horse Racing (8 horse races). flat races, jump races, UK and US racing).
We can provide races where the horse are all named in advance and have full previous form available on screen on the night and have a full race commentary by name.
Alternatively if you wish to have your owners name their horses we have races where the commentary is by horse number only

- Even Camel Racing ( 6 camels), great craic with a fun race commentary. A good idea for the auction race to finish of you night or we can have these playing in advance of the start of the first official race.

All these races are high drama with some of the closest finished you'll see. As the races come on DVD they can simply be connected up to the existing TV system in most pubs & bars. Most pubs and bars these days have their own large screen TVs or projector and this works perfectly. We can provide a large screen and projector is required at an extra cost.

The make up of the races is completely flexible. The most races we could do in a night would be 10. An 8 race card would take up a minimum of 2 hours to run. With a break in the middle for food or a raffle and an auction race to end the night this can easily stretch to 3 hours.
If you go with the Greyhound racing these obvious take a shorted amount of time to run and you could have the full 10 races (including the auction race), giving you 60 dogs to sell.
If you go with Horse Racing this takes longer and we would go with a maximum of 8 races.
It is possible to split this up perhaps have 4 dog races, 4 horse races and a camel race for the auction race. We can arrange this as you wish.

 

TOTE Betting Tickets
Essential for selling the bets for your event. We provide rolls of tickets for each horse in each race. Each ticket is printed with the Race Number, Horse Number and Ticket Number. These are essential to prevent any confusion or possible cheating. They also make it extremely easy to calculate the total moneys taken is and the payouts on each race. See calculating payouts.

Written out dockets or play money just to not work and inevitably lead to mistakes and arguments that you do not need on the night.

TOTE Returns Sheets
These are required to note the number of bets placed on each horse/dog in each race and for calculating amount removed for fundraising and the payouts for the winning tickets.

PA System and Mics
We provide and setup a full PA system and Mics. Essential so that you MC or committee member can be heard above the noise of the crowd. This is required for announcing the race sponsors, the payouts for each race, the raffle and handling the auction race.

It can depend on how good your MC is at whipping up the crowd to purchase the horses/dogs and how much drink has been taken on board by the end of the night. The Tote would also operate on an auction race.

Racecard / Program Templates
We provide you with an electronic template that you can use to produce your racecards for the night. Alternatively if you provide us with all the details in advance we ca produce these race cards for you at an additional cost.

Posters to advertise your event
Let us know the date time and location of your event and we can provide posters to advertise your event. If you provide us with club or society crest, badge or logo we can incorporate this into the poster.

Alternatively we can provide a number of blank racenight poster designs with space for you to write i your event details. This can be printed off by you as you wish.

MC / Event Coordinator
We provide an event coordinator for the night. They will run the races setup the PA system and assist with the venue setup as required. They can also act as MC for the night if you do not have the club joker or committee member in mind to do this. The event coordinator is also on hand to explain to the people running the tote how this will operate and assist with the calculations of the payouts on each race.

Jockeys Silks and Fancy Dress Horse costume
For that extra touch we can provide Jockeys Silks or Fancy Dress Horse costume for you MC or committee members to wear. These are available at an extra cost and must be booked in advance.
